Polish Sausage

Originating from Poland, this recipe was brought to Australia in the 1940s and was one of the first products we produced at DON®.

Crafted from select cuts of quality meat and a blend of subtle spices, our Polish makes a popular addition to cold meat platters and sandwiches. Served hot with eggs, it is a delicious alternative to bacon.

Traditionally served in Poland with fried onions, red horseradish, and chopped and fried together with onions - as an addition to pierogi, which are crescent-shaped dumplings filled with potato, cheese or mushrooms. It is served hot and can be boiled, baked or grilled. It is also great in soups, baked with sauerkraut, or added to bean dishes, stews, and casseroles.
